Sweet popcorn is so delicious. During the festival of São João, it’s usually eaten caramelized or just with melted butter and salt. It doesn’t really matter – it’s yummy either way.
Sweet popcorn always reminds me of when my aunty used to come from the country to my mum’s house. She would make it for me and my brother, so we would spend the whole day eating sweet popcorn.
- ½ cup corn
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ oil
- Mix everything in a pot and bring to a medium heat.
- It will start cook and will take some time until the corn starts to pop.
- Let a few corn pop and cover with the lid. Turn of when all the corn has been popped.
